Technology for Good
We build apps, sites, and software that serve the common good — tools designed for social impact, ethical consumption, and community well-being.
Who We Are
Commonweal is the public-interest software arm of Fullstakrs LLC, a Connecticut-based development studio. We make tools that put values first — whether that's helping consumers make ethical choices, guiding people to benefits they've earned, or connecting communities to the resources around them.
Every product we ship is built to last, designed to be accessible, and released in service of the public good — not extraction.
Our Portfolio
Three tools built around real community needs — with more on the way.
Scan any product barcode and instantly know if the brand tests on animals. Real-time checks across six cruelty-free databases — Leaping Bunny, PETA, Cruelty Free Kitty, and more.
A community wayfinding and resource navigation app — helping people orient themselves and find what they need, wherever they are.
A free, anonymous benefits screening tool that helps individuals and families in Connecticut discover the public benefits they qualify for — no account required.
Our Mission
The common good is the idea that software can be a force for equity and justice — not just convenience and revenue. We build with that in mind from day one.
Every product starts with a community need, not a market gap. We ask who benefits before we ask how it scales.
No account walls, no dark patterns. Our tools are built to work for everyone — including the communities that need them most.
Open about how we work, why we exist, and who we work with. We don't monetize attention or sell data.
Apps built to last — not funded by venture capital with a 3-year exit clock. Commonweal tools are here for the long haul.
